Miso cod is one of @fationatefoodbelly’s favorite recipes for busy weeknights because it’s both make-ahead and fast-cooking. Cod should taste fresh, mild, and flaky, and this beautiful Wild-Caught Icelandic Cod from Blue Circle Foods is it.
Ingredients
- 3 Wild-Caught Icelandic Cod
- 1 lemon
Marinade for the cod:
- ¼ cup mirin
- ¼ cup sake
- 3 tbsp miso paste
- 1 tbsp sugar
Instructions
For caramelized lemon, cut 1 lemon into thin slices and sear it in a pan on medium low heat until it browns. In a pot, on medium heat, boil the marinade ingredients until well combined. Then let it cool. Put the fish in a container then pour it all over the fish. Keep in fridge for 24-48 hours. Broil the fish in the oven for 7-10 mins (depending on your oven heat).
