Our Salmon Farmers
The family farmers who raise our Norwegian Atlantic Salmon in pristine arctic waters share our passion for continuous improvement of aquaculture to harvest fish more responsibly. Modern aquaculture has come a long way since Blue Circle started in 2005, and our Norwegian farmers have been at the forefront of innovation, working in harmony with the oceans and sharing our values of transparency, quality, and feel good food. Our farmed salmon is a net producer of protein, meaning that unlike farmed beef, chicken, and pork, our farmed salmon generate more protein than they take out of the environment.

Our Shrimp Farmers
We sell two kinds of shrimp: Black Tiger Shrimp and Pacific White Shrimp.
Raised in their native Indonesian waters, our Black Tiger Shrimp thrive in their natural shallow water environment without human intervention. They are farmed using traditional methods whereby they eat naturally occurring plankton and are not given artificial feed or medication. This yields a far more nutritious and flavorful shrimp, and makes our Black Tiger Shrimp a net producer of protein.
Our Pacific White Shrimp are naturally and mindfully raised in their native waters of Ecuador. The shrimp have 10x the space that they would on a conventional shrimp farm, giving them room to thrive and greatly lessening the risk of disease. Their sustainable feed means that they have a positive fish in fish out ratio and are a net producer of protein.

Our Fishermen
We believe in supporting small players in the fishing industry to keep local economies strong. We work with independent local fishermen from the Maldives, Alaska, and Iceland who embrace the highest standards of fishing and fair labor practices to source wild-caught fish using the most ethical and traditional methods available. We only work with fishermen who use low impact fishing methods that minimize bycatch and protect our oceans. Our wild-caught fish is 100% traceable.
