Phillip Tang’s amazing Chicago-style toast pairs our Original Salmon Sausages with classic toppings like onion, chives and giardiniera.
Ingredients
- 2 Original Salmon Sausages
- Thick slice of toasted sourdough bread
- 1 Tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 onion, sliced thinly
- 1 tablespoon chives, thinly sliced
- 1-2 tablespoons hot or mild giardiniera
- juice of 1/2 a lemon
Instructions
Caramelize onions with oil or butter in a pan on medium-low heat until caramelized. Fry salmon sausages according to the instructions of the package. Cut into thick pieces. Spread mayo on toast. Add caramelized onions on top. Then add sliced sausages. Sprinkle on chives. Squeeze lemon over the top of the toast. Add giardiniera on top to your liking. Enjoy!
